Clara Dorion Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Rose Dorion (Cook) our Mother, Granny, Great Granny, sister, aunt, cousin, companion, and most of all everybody’s friend.  Clara passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her children’s love on July 13,2020.

Clara was born January 14, 1962 in Moose Lake, Manitoba.  Clara resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba, but her home was always in the north.

Clara is predeceased by her father, Stanley “Chico” Cook, her mother Josephine Campbell, her brothers James, Kenny, and Wayne, her sisters Sara and Audrey, and many other dear loved ones.

Clara is survived by her first husband, and special companion Dennis.  Her son Gerald (Loretta) and grandchildren Matthew,  AJ, Jenna, Eric, Marcus, Elighja and other numerous children.  Her son Stan (Laura) grandchildren Bree, Keaton, Ethan, Evan, and Selena, and great granddaughter Sophia. Her daughter Melanie, grandchildren Isiah, Noah, Mikey and Eve.  Her son Aaron and grandchildren Ethan, Kayden, and Sara.  Her daughter Dana.  Her daughter Michelle (Pat) and grandchildren Abbigail, Echo, Sodah, Vincent Jr, and Dexter.  Her siblings Roland, Allan, Flora, Gary, Ella and Rule.  Clara is also going to be missed by many special and dear friends, cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews too numerous to mention names.  Clara is also survived by her little baby, her puppy Charlie.

Clara loved her children more than anything in the world.  She spoke of her children every day, sharing memories and stories about them.  Clara loved all of her grandbabies, and her great grandbaby too.  One of her most precious moments was when she witnessed her granddaughter Sodah’s birth.

Clara was like a butterfly; a butterfly never hurt anybody.  She was always happy.  Clara was very creative and loved creating dreamcatchers, colouring and making jewellery.  Clara loved watching horror movies, drinking tea, and making bannock for her family.  She enjoyed sharing stories, mopping with pinesol and eating corn chips.  She was truly a kindred spirit with the most beautiful heart.

Services will be held in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Eternal Grace Funerals from 11am – 3pm.  Wake, funeral and burial will be in Cranberry Portage, Manitoba on Thursday July 23 - Friday July 24, 2020.  Pastor Bob Hay will be officiating.
