With great sadness the family of Pearl Davis announces the passing of their rock, our best friend, our confident.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon Clarence son David her 2 brothers and 3 of 5 sisters.
Pearl (Mom) was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her children - Del (Mary Anne), Harry (Marilyn), Peter; sisters - Shirley Stenabaugh, Ethel Park; her many…grandchildren; great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and the many friends & family. We were all blessed by her presence.
An amazing lady and ever the lady, she was fiercely loyal to all that she loved. Pearl’s legacy to family is her incredible strength in body, mind, heart and especially faith. That faith endured as she faced several medical issues including her failing eyesight with dignity, courage, and grace.
Pearl was born in Peguis MB. grew up and attended school in Selkirk MB. She later married her “partner-in-life” Gordon Clarence Davis. They eventually started a family in Winnipeg MB. to raise 4 boys. They celebrated over 51 years of marriage prior to her husbands passing.
Pearl (mom) was very good as a seamstress, loved to crochet & knit. Everyone loved her great cooking and excellent baking. She was someone who loved music and dancing, loved to visit family, travel (especially Las Vegas) and do road trips whenever possible.
At Christmas anyone was welcome, and she would always have little presents under the tree for anyone who were without family. Many times, there were tears in the eyes of those who received those little presents. Mom was a loving great woman. A very much-loved woman! Few with her stature exist, fewer now with our great loss. Goodnight Mom, sweet dreams, love you, we'll talk to you in the morning”.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Pearl’s life will be held on Monday May 27,2024 at 11 a.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals. She will be interred at Brookside Cemetery in her late husband’s grave.
We prayed for you to stay with us but that was not to be.
God put his arms around you and said Pearl come with me.
