Carl leaves to mourn his wife Rose, his children Michelle, Tyrone, Tyson, Janie, And Carl junior, as well as all of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family and friends and extended Lariviere and McKay family that embraced him unconditionally. Carl was pre-deceased by his parents Madeline and Arthur Hood, daughter Jody, sisters Joanne and Ida, uncles George and Edward.
Carl was born December 21st, 1962, in Winnipeg. He started work as a young man and continued that work ethic throughout his life. He was employed at Skills unlimited, Merchant’s Consolidated, Able Wholesale, Norm n Nate's, PPG. Carl was an entrepreneur by starting his own window cleaning company called Carl's Clear Glass. He worked hard and never gave up. He was proud that he was able to expand his window cleaning company to include snow removal, yard maintenance, Christmas lights, fence building and many other jobs over 20+ years with a loyal clientele.
While Carl worked hard, he also liked to play hard. Carl was well known for his roller skating and enjoyed making it family nights with the family children. Halloween became one of his favorite seasons. He loved dressing up and scaring children, almost being punched out by an angry dad one time.
As the years went by and grandchildren came, they became his new joy. He played Santa to his grandchildren and to other nieces and nephews. In the winter there was tobogganing and, in the summer, bonfires and swimming at the beach or pool.
Everyone that knew Carl knew he was the joker, the family comedian. He had a knack at remembering jokes and being able to change words in a song to make everyone laugh.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday June 1,2022 from 1p.m.-3p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Jr, Tyrone, Tyson, Jayden, Gregory, Deshaun and Dreyden.
