Bruce Donald Soutter

Bruce Donald Soutter (1967 – 2024) with deep sadness and heavy hearts we share the news that Bruce passed away on Sunday July 14, 2024, at the age of 57 years old.

He was predeceased by his father Norman Soutter. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Chrys Soutter, his mother, Geraldine Robson, brother Andrew Soutter, his stepsister Frankie Magill (Ian Smith), stepsons, James Bowman, Michael Bowman (Alex) and step grandson, Noah Bowman and his best friend for over 20 years, Abe Penner (Dawna).

Bruce was born January 27, 1967and lived his entire life in Winnipeg. Graduated from Tec Voc High School. He had many jobs as a young man including being a lifeguard for many years.

Bruce enjoyed spending his time at Homestead Heritage Park at his trailer where he, his family and best friend spent many memorable times; ATV’s, exploring trails and target shooting. He was a true outdoors man who loved his motorcycles and trucks.

He worked at the University of Manitoba as Caretaker Coordinator for 18 years where he formed longtime friendships. Once he began his job at Uof M, he purchased his house where he made sure to have a garage for his workshop. This was one of the true things he loved to do was tinker around fixing things.

Bruce and Chrys adopted their first pet, Dutchess, and instantly became family. Bruce never imagined that a dog would bring this much happiness to him.

Celebration of life will take place on Wednesday July 24, 2024, at 1:00 pm, Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Ave, Winnipeg, MB.

Cremation has taken place, and the family will hold a private interment at a later date.
