It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, daughter, niece, sister, and aunt, Brittany Faye Joan Moneyas on March 2, 2024. Brittany was born on April 28th, 1987 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Brittany is the fifth child of Joseph McCall Moneyas and Delores Seymour-Moneyas, Sister to Ryan (Wannetta), Kimberly (Josh), Clorice, and Brendon (Bella), Mother to Melika, Asia, and Mckal (Jadea), Aunt to Devon, Kyle, Ariel, Marie, Leslie, Jessica, Koalt, Brent, Hope, Natasha, Sarah, Trent, Allarie, Amelia, Josiah, Arnold, Xavier, Brendon, Brady, and Tyler, and Grandmother/aunt to Allister, Hayes, and Toby. Brittany is predeceased by her longtime partner Richard Baptiste, her brothers Allister and Derek, and her father Joseph. “So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.” John 16:22

As a child Brittany was athletic and enjoyed competing in sports. She spent her days playing with her siblings at their parents property in Hollow Water. In 2000(?) Brittany met her longtime partner Richard Baptiste and they were together for eleven years until his passing on June 12, 2011. Brittany never fully recovered from her broken heart after Richard’s passing. They are survived by their two daughters, Melika and Asia Moneyas-Baptiste. We know they are rejoicing in heaven, looking down on us with full hearts and the biggest smiles. This is not goodbye, but we will miss you until we see you again.

Every Christmas Brittany spoiled her children and made everything possible, every one of their birthdays were a birthday to remember. She will be remembered for her generous spirit and gentle nature.

Wake Service will be held on Friday March 16, 2024 from 7pm-11pm at Eternal Grace Funerals. Wake Service will continue on Saturday March 16, 2024 and Sunday March 17, 2024 at Papa’s house in Hollow Water. Service will follow on Monday March 18, 2024 at 1pm at the Catholic Church in Hollow Water. Interment will follow at the Catholic Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Mckal Moneyas, Trent Moar, Ryan Moneyas, Brendon Moneyas, Koalt Meade, Kevin Billington, Dominick Gurniak, and Braydon Gurniak.
