Bridget Basarowich-Ross Obituary

Cherished and missed beyond words, Bridget Taylor BasarowIch-Ross was born April 26, 2019 and left us peacefully, following a tragic accident, on the evening of February 11, 2020. Beloved Bridget leaves to mourn, parents: Bobbie-Lee Ross and Wesley Basarowich: her siblings Jordan and Nicole; as well as stepsiblings, Paige and Kelly; and numerous other family and friends.

Bridget was our miracle baby. Born premature, weighing 5.5 lbs. at the Women's Pavilion in Winnipeg with a heart condition, she surprised us, and her doctors, by proving that she's a strong Iittle lady. Gaining strength each day in the neo-natal intensive care unit at Wpg.'s Children's Hospital, under the brilliant care of the Variety Children's Heart Clinic and Dr. Jebamani, she avoided a heart transplant In her first few days and then, as she became a week and then 2-weeks-old. Her progress was significant enough for us all to call it "a miracle" because a heart transplant was no longer needed. Bridget was discharged approx. 2 weeks later from the N.I.C.U.

In life, Bridget was both wonderfully stubborn like her mother, and loud like her dad. However, everyone knew that she was totally "daddy's girl" because her face lit up like the sun and she would always smile from ear co ear, when her daddy came into the same room. A constant night owl, she was always up until dawn (YAAAWWWN — those were loooong but good nights and some coffee-infused mornings!) yet Bridget, for as small as she was, always wanted things her way or no way. And, as a daddy's girl, she got away with most of them (you try saying 'no' to that cute face!). We hold tight to our special memories of her unique baby-noises (whenever she was being a weirdo) that cheered up Mom and Dad, and proved to be many, many, hours of family amusement. Little Bridget also loved the tasting of Slurpee's - she was clearly a true Winnipegger and had great taste. Her smile and hours of play fighting with her little brother Jordan, and sister Nicole are, and will always be, treasured times. We will forever remember how Bridget's larger-than-life personality cuteness, and charm captivated us all
Upon her passing, a huge piece of her Mom and Dad left with her but we will forever, carry Bridget in our hearts.
I Carry your heart with me BYE. E. CUMMINGS
I carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)  and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart i carry your heart (I carry it In my heart).
Our sincere gratitude to each and every doctor, nurse and staff member that gifted  us each day and moment Inside the 10 short months with our special and amazing little girl. There are insufficient words to express the wonderful support Bridget received in her short time by the Winnipeg medical community at the Women's Hospital, H.S.C Children's Hospital (Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit), Variety Children's Heart Clinic, Dr. lebamani, Winnipeg E.M.S. and the first responders who all tried to save her life that fateful night.
