Brian Calvin Menson

Brian Calvin Menson age 24 passed away October 16,2024 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Brian was born March 4,2000 in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he resided for the first years of his life. He later moved to his home community of Long Lake 58 First Nation, Ontario and then returned to Winnipeg to attend school. He remained in Winnipeg until his passing.

Brian is lovingly survived by his parents Shawn Legarde Sr., his mother Lydia Menson, sister Georgia Menson, brothers Shawn Legarde Jr., Cable Menson, Clieve Menson and Breach Menson. He is also survived by 2 infant sons, who he loved dearly.

Brian is also survived by his grandmothers Marie Martens (Kurt), Judy Desmoulin and Laura Menson, grandfathers Wallace (Tony) Legarde and Clyde Desmoulin. Special auntie Noreen and Uncle Judd Agnew who cared for Brian and Georgia for many years. Close cousins Calvin Legard and the late Daniel Jr. Desmoulin.

Brian leaves behind many uncles, aunties, cousins and a nephew Kassius as well.

In his passing Brian’s family chose to give life by donating his organs to those in need, showing incredible courage, compassion and generosity.

Funeral and wake service will be held on Thursday October 24,2024 from 6 p.m.- 11 p.m. at Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Avenue. Cremation to follow. Interment at a later date.
