Bernadette Hinchcliffe Obituary

It comes with great sadness, to announce the passing of Bernadette Muriel Marie Hinchcliffe at the age of 71 years old surrounded by family and loved ones, peacefully on March 6th, 2026, at 12:54 am at Grace Hospital.

Bernadette was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Hilda Jane Berens, her father, Edmund Alfred Berens, her sister, Rose Marie Berens, her Partner, Delbert Berens and youngest Daughter, Marie Hinchcliffe. Marie leaves behind her four beautiful children and Bernadette’s grandchildren whom she helped raise: Athena, Markus (Halo Brass), Memphis and Waylon Jr.

Bernadette sadly leaves behind her two other Daughters, Bonnie Hinchcliffe (Rafel, Tashina (Colin, Harper Campbell), Daniel) and Sabrina Everett (Michelle, Micheal Jr, Lynn, Tyler, Alex, Sierra, Selena, Serena, Savian). Bernadette also leaves behind numerous Sisters, Brothers and her cousins, whom were like brothers and sisters to her.

Bernadette was a pillar in her community of Berens River First Nation, serving over thirty years with the Nursing Station. She leaves behind a lifetime of friends, colleagues and a community whom she loved dearly and advocated for. This was her home.

She loved her family and would do anything in her power to help out anyone in need. She enjoyed music, traveling, shopping and being with her family most of all. She had a quick wit, right up until the end and she would make everyone around her burst out in laugher. She will be greatly missed and mourned by her family.

Officiating service will be Rev. Roy Bouchie.

Wake Services will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, from 7pm – 11pm, at Eternal Grace Funerals (10-1111 Logan Ave. Winnipeg, MB).
