It is with much grief and sadness we announce that “little Alex” left us the evening of October 15, 2023 after encountering heart complications associated with chronic diabetes. Alex was born in Ashern on October 27, 1974 to Rose Omeara and Alex Beardy Sr., Alex spent most of his childhood in his home community of Lake St. Martin. During his adolescent years the family relocated to Winnipeg where Alex continued his education. During this time because of the onset of diabetes Alex could not achieve his dream of graduating from high school. Thus began his long and very tedious, painful course of living with chronic diabetes. Alex spent long lonely stays in the hospitals but always with a hope he would make it through times of near departure. Little Alex was blessed with a sense of humor and giggle, he loved watching his own children and his grand nieces and nephews grow up with which he doted with a lot of care and attention. He was also a very caring and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews. Alex was a close friend and partner to Buffy Ferland, mother of his two children, Raven and Cassidy. Also special mention to his dear friends Petula (Oct 13, 2023) and Amelia. Also a special mention to Deanna Sinclair with whom he had a father/daughter relationship with. Alex mourned the passing of his parents Alex and Rose, his grandparents George and Christina Beardy, his daughter Cassidy, his precious niece Cecily, left to mourn and grieve him are his sisters Darlene, Melva, and Christina, his close niece Justine, his brothers Norman Omeara and Bert Sumner. A special mention to his grand nieces and nephews: Jaylen, Lyle, Kashtin, Gage, and Real. Stepdaughter Alyssa, and daughter Freedom. Included are his aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives. He will be sorely missed.
