It is with great sadness; we announce the passing of Albert Mitchell Mallett. He was with family, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, February 13, 2024, at the hospital when he left us.
Albert was born on March 24, 1985, in Kenora, Ontario to Linda (Kelly) and Albert Mallett. He grew up on Lake of the Woods, Port Alberni, and Winnipeg throughout his years. He was in high demand as he was an extremely dexterous welder for many projects within Winnipeg, Manitoba. It was when fishing commercially with dad, they saw the early mornings and also said it was God’s giving life. He will be remembered for his loving character that was felt by many whom he loved dearly. His love for his son was limitless and beautiful.
Albert leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Aiden, mom Linda, dad Albert Sr., Grandma Babes Delores (Kelly) Lein, siblings Jon, Tess, and Tracy, nieces Shaylee, Savannah, Alessa, nephews Nathaniel, Matthew, and John, as well as many aunts, uncles and friends.
Wake to be held at Gilbart Funeral Home, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, Manitoba on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services to be held at Eternal Grace Funerals, 1111 Logan Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Ken Danielson officiating.
Cemetery Services will take place at Brookside Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Richard Clarke, Nat Mallett, Dominic Carriere, David Boulton, Dylan Johnson, and George Pearce.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Wayne Mallett Sr., Jon Mallett, Barbara Carriere, Melvin Blackhawk, Alex James Hunter (AJ), and Stacy (Cook) Boulton.
