Alan Lemay Obituary

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alan Lemay of Winnipeg, at the age of 61. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.

He will be deeply missed by his children, son Allan Smith (Heather) and daughter Dawn Smith. Grandchildren Jade, Shaelie, Johnathan, Skyla, Cheyenne and great grandchild Luna.  Brothers, Peanuts, Dennis, Gary and sisters, Edna, Gerry and Louise. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Irene and Lucien Lemay. Brothers Art Brown and Marcel Joyale. Sisters, Terry Joyale and Rose Marie Hebert.

Alan was a man whose passions shaped a life rich in stories, laughter and love. A devoted collector, he found joy in the timeless beauty of antique cars and the many other treasures he gathered over the years. Music was the soundtrack of his days, and he loved to rock and roll to every genre, finding rhythm and energy in every beat.

He cherished the outdoors, often taking long walks and finding peace in the simple presence of nature. Whether cheering passionately for the Winnipeg Jets or sharing moments with those he loved. Alan brought enthusiasm and warmth to everything he did.

Above all else, he was profoundly proud of his children and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. His love for them was steadfast, and they were his greatest source of happiness.

Alan's legacy lives on in the memories he created, the passions he shared, and the family and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.

We would like to thank all of the staff at the HSC's MICU unit for all of their care and compassion while Alan was there.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba in Alan's name.

A private service is going to be held.
